And this is why I don’t call them resolutions…..
I’m afraid it is a mere 40 days into 2011 and I’m already breaking one of my goals. Sort of. As you know, my idea was to take a road trip somewhere in Southern California every month for 2011 to get to know my new-ish ‘hood. January’s adventure was the 5-start Montage in Laguna Beach. February’s adventure is….. Las Vegas?!?! Not exactly SoCal, but an adventure nonetheless. So, February’s adventure will be visiting a new location in Vegas – the Cosmopolitan 🙂
Rest assured, my friends, that I will resume my adventures in March and am sure to make up for my February lapse in judgment. I am officially booked into a beachfront hotel in Malibu for March’s adventure. You may be asking why of all places I picked Malibu. If you know me AT ALL, you know I have had a subscription to People magazine for the past 10 years and no, I don’t read it for the articles. Time to put all that star stalking to the test in real life! In addition to Malibu, I’ve already selected a few more of my destinations for the year. They are, in no particular order:
- Catalina Island
- Yosemite National Park
- Santa Barbara
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Mitchell Caverns in the Mojave (and not in July)
And I’m sure a trip to Palm Springs or Palm Desert will work its way into the agenda. Good times are ahead (and yes, the rest of my ‘resolutions’ are still intact)!
